Winterizing with no mice

I am a member of another RV site and there was a discussion that using bars of Irish Spring soap keeps mice away all winter. Others swear that peppermint oil does the trick and some say use dryer sheets. What has worked the best in your experience? Much thanks in advance.

This is definitely a serious problem that doesn't seem to have a definitive answer. Personally I have used dryer sheets for many years with no problems but I haven't stored things in high risk areas so it's possible I have just been very lucky.
