  • Tailgating at the MSU/Michigan Football game with our trusty Champion Europremier

What an experience! Highly recommend tailgating with friends at your local events!

We did lots of research trying to figure out the ins and outs of parking and the rules for large RV tailgating on the Michigan State University Campus. There are a couple of helpful websites that all pointed to Lot 92 as the only option. They advertised a fee of $30 per RV but it was actually $40 when we arrived. They also say the lot opens at 9am for a 3:30pm kickoff, but some people we met there talked about arriving at 7am to set up.

    From the the MSUSpartans.com site:
    RV parking
Recreational vehicle parking is available in Lot 92 on Service Road between Hagadorn and Bogue for $30.

    From the Gamedayr.com site:

    General Public
Recreational vehicle parking is available for $30 in lot 92 on Service Road between Hagadorn and Bogue. Use the map above for location. Contact the Spartan Fund at (517) 432-4610 for more details.
    Spartan Fund
Active members of the Spartan Fund may request a parking pass for a RV under 30 feet in Lot H. No new RV passes will be issued in Lots A, J, P. Parking for RV’s longer than 30 feet will be located in the public parking area Lot 92 located off Service Road.

My map and an address to get you there easier:

We arrived around 9:30am and the lot was almost full. Would have been a real bummer to get stuck in the overflow lot across the street, not much happening there. Soooo, next time we will be arriving much earlier.

The $40 entry fee gets you essentially 4 large parking spots, 2 for your RV and 2 next to those for your awning to overhang and set up your party stuff. Our group reached about 14 people and there was plenty of room for partying, games like KanJam and Cornhole, and grilling without burning down our 38' rig.
