  • Hitch parts for 1978 Coachman Cadet Camper

I have a 1978 Coachman Cadet which is renovated to new condition on which there is an a-frame type hitch welded onto the frame. I want to replace the movable parts in the hitch but have no identifying information on the hitch other than a number 66-00011 (could be 7s instead of 1s)stamped on back of the underjaw tongue which pushes against the ball in the hitch socket. Is there any way you can match the parts I need simply from the year and make of the Coachman?

Hi Ed. Sounds like a great camper! This is a tough one. I have done a bunch of research and found that those parts were most likely made by Marvel which is unfortunately out of business. Possibly someone still has some new old stock from them but I couldn't find it. Maybe worth trying a Reese or Curt replacement part??
