  • Voltmeter Stays On With Key Off

The voltmeter always registers voltage and the engine batteries will die if coach isn't plugged into shore power.

The previous owner of our 1992 Champion Europremier said he had trouble with the engine batteries getting drained occasionally. As I started using the coach on a regular basis I noticed that occasionally the voltmeter would stay on with the key off. This has now progressed over the past year to where the voltmeter is always on unless I disconnect the batteries. I'm assuming it is a relay or solenoid that is sticking on but haven't had time to chase it down. I did replace the ignition solenoid in the engine compartment as it was looking really old and crusty and was sticking occasionally.

Any ideas where to look first?
