The other night I was setting up camp and heard a sizzling, hissing sound (not the snake vs. honeybadger kind) coming from the engine compartment. One of the 2 house batteries was steaming from the vent. Voltmeter revealed about 10 volts. Can't find a date on it but I know it's at least 7 years old. Other one is a different brand and is over 6 years old, neither are deep cycle.
So I removed it from coach and connected wires so only have one house battery now.
Checked voltage while plugged into shore power, 13.3 volts.
Now to decide which batteries to buy. Wondering if AGM would be good or just stick to Deep Cycle marine batts??
