  • Europremier DC Circuit Schematic - Needed

Strangely enough i left the water pump on and it has a small leak somewhere and furthermore it drained the batteries (all 4 to 3.6v) yes this is the 2nd time the snake bit me.

Now i have a strange issue, while on generator the house power works, or on shore power but on the batteries none of the DC house lights, water pump or 12 lights throughout the coach or basement work on batteries.

Not sure where the problem is at.

    Need help

Oh man that is a drag! I feel like we need to make a written checklist that we follow every time we leave the moho to sit unplugged from shore power. ....hot water heater, water pump, lights, etc, etc....

Check the house power cutoff switch up by the entry steps. I have had that accidentally shut off before and couldn't figure out why stuff wasn't working. Also turned it off once to diagnose and forgot to turn back on.

There is also the ignition power switch up and to the right (when looking in from the back) in the engine compartment. That controls power to the ignition, obviously, but seems to also power some other stuff that surprised me.

The DC stuff has solenoids that can go bad and if one was close to giving up this could have been the nail in it's coffin.

It seems on mine that some of the 12V stuff requires the batteries to work, won't just work off the power coming from the converter. If a battery is bad enough it could actually be blocking the power??? Have seen that on single battery setups but not sure if that's an issue on our multiple setups.

I'll head out to look for the schematics right now.

Just remembered I had already scanned some info into my computer.

Here is a helpful list of electrical equipment with wiring colors and circuit numbers. Not sure how you identify the circuit number on the coach though.

Check the "Converter" circuit beaker in the 110v breaker panel located on the wall in the bedroom. Also check the 12V fuses in the power center down under the closet in bathroom.

That's all the electrical info I can find in my manuals on the DC system.

Let me know how it's going and we can try further troubleshooting if needed.

I have the electrical chart, i will have to test the solenoids, battery on house side, relays. The house master switch doesn't have a key. All front lights, radio, turn signals work.

Its the house lights, water pump, kitchen control center, all basement lights and front control center (aisle, porch, house) and even wall lights that dont work.

Okay i finally got to the RV today to check the output with no AC the DC converter is pumping out 2.5v not 12vdc so it looks like the "Magnetek RV CONVERTER CHARGER Series 900 Model 950 - 12V 50 Amp" might have died. What is a good replacement - plus i hate the humming !

Previous owner of our Europremier upgraded it to the Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power 9280. It's 80 amps, seems to be totally quiet and has lots of good features like float charging so it won't destroy batteries.

Hey Matt just trying to follow up on older forum stuff. Wondering how you resolved this? Probably roasting hot there now but I hope all is well. Thanks.

I was able to replace the unit - that still did not fix the problem, I noticed that I still had about 2vdc on my 12vdc side so I went to the front and rear posts and looked for the 2vdc voltage and found one of my fuses on the rear post panel wasn't allowing proper voltage to flow through, I removed the fuse - cleaned the terminals with sand paper and put it back in and all my in house 12vdc lights and accessories came back on. in hind sight - it was still a great move to get rid of the old transformer as it was responsible for cooking the old engine batteries. and the noise or humming sucked when hooked up to power.

Very interesting!! Those old connections have caused me some headaches on a few things too. Glad you got it figured out!!! Thanks for the update!
