  • Motorhome Turn Signals Intermittent / Replacing Relays

The rear turn signals on our Champion Europremier are not working on occasion according to some friends following us a while a go. Strangely the front turn signals work and the indicator on the dash works even when the rears aren't working so it's a very different system than I'm used to on cars, boats & motorcycles. Also kind of dangerous since you don't get an immediate indication that they have failed. (Boats? Just testing you! Ha!)

First thing I suspected is the relays and bulbs. Of course they work when I check them so I know it's not the bulbs and it would be rare for both bulbs to be out. My normal course of action for this type of thing is to throw new parts at it so I purchased all new relays, cleaned the connectors, added dilectric grease and plugged them in. Signals are working for now and time will tell.
